Overview

Awareness of our own cultural identities and experiences is the first step to becoming more effective cross-culturally. Developing this awareness allows us to recognize biases, adapt to diverse environments, and build stronger connections with others.

The Cross-Cultural Adaptability Inventory (CCAI) is a powerful and insightful tool designed to help participants assess their personal areas of cross-cultural competency. By identifying strengths and areas for growth, the CCAI provides actionable strategies and real-world examples to enhance adaptability, communication, and cultural understanding.

Join experts Dr. Colleen Kelley and Dr. Judith Meyers as they delve into the four key competencies that are critical for cross-cultural adaptability. They will explore how these competencies serve as a foundation for greater self-awareness and long-term success in cross-cultural settings. Whether you’re navigating global business, working with diverse teams, or simply seeking to improve your cultural agility, this session will show you how the Cross-Cultural Adaptability Inventory provides valuable insights and tools to help you thrive.

Attendees will learn

  • How to define culture and one’s cultural identity.
  • The four competencies associated with cross-cultural effectiveness.
  • Methods to assess cross-cultural competence.
  • A common vocabulary that allows for self-improvement, continued growth, and perspective-taking in cross-cultural situations.
