Overview

Research has clearly and convincingly shown that improving employee engagement in government will drive higher levels of performance, stimulate innovation, reduce unwanted turnover and yield other important workforce and organizational benefits. Employers in the government sector can work to increase employee engagement by providing meaningful work, clear expectations, support and resources, opportunities for growth and development, and a positive and inclusive work culture.

Low employee engagement leads to poor customer relationships, high turnover and a lack of productivity – all of which prevent government and nonprofit agencies from fulfilling their missions. Top-performing private sector organizations understand that increased employee engagement leads to better performance and outcomes. Government leaders and nonprofit administrators need to follow the private sector lead by placing a greater emphasis on enhancing the employee experience and workplace culture.

Join expert Bob Lavigna for this one-hour learning event. Building a Culture of Employee Engagement will focus on empirically proven approaches to improve employee engagement, with particular emphasis on government and nonprofit organizations.
